![]() ![]() Since i have discovered on line other Dell 1545 customers have had the same problem It edits text with no command to do so just as if I had the Control Key pressed and hit hot key buttons. ![]() ![]() Finally, they agree to replace the laptop and sent another 1545 which I took out of the book and went immediately to Notepad without going on the next, putting a disk in it, or doing anything but start it and open the Notepad accessory. We did Malware, Adware, Virus scans, we did typing exercises, System Restore, they sent a technician who replace the keyboard to no avail, the next week another technician replaced the hard drive to no effect. I contacted Dell Support after two months, over a week of lost work time just fiddling with it with tech support folks, 14 hours of DELLCONNECT work online with their tecnnicians, I still do not have a computer I can use in my office. the rotten thing does automatic text editing without a command. However, when I type text in any format: Notepad, Wordpad, MS Word, AOL e-mail, etc. I thought at first it was a Vista problem as I have never used it before. It has never worked right since it came out of the box. ![]()
